Aguero: “I don’t know if I’ll sprint again, I feel like my heart isn’t working properly”
Two months after retiring from football due to health reasons, Sergio Aguero expressed his concern that he might not be able to sprint anymore, but also that he feels his heart is not working properly.
After ten magical years in the Premier League with Manchester City, Sergio Aguero changed city, country and team last summer, with ‘Koon’ dreaming of experiencing moments as big as Barcelona.
Unfortunately, his dreams proved in vain as his swan song with the Blaugrana shirt was the home championship with Alaves on October 30 when he experienced chest pains and difficulty breathing.
It was all linked to a cardiac arrhythmia, with the Argentina striker accepting the players’ request/order to stop playing football and announcing his decision to say goodbye at a press conference in mid-December.
Last month, a video leaked of him playing tennis and many people were happy with that development, hoping his life would slowly return to normal.
However, this does not appear to be the case as he was asked about his health status on a social media platform where he was found and appeared anxious and concerned:
“Now when I try to play football, I’m out of breath. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever be able to sprint again. I just feel like my heart isn’t working properly.” said the veteran Argentinian striker.
