Hazard: ‘If Real Madrid tell me to leave in the summer, I will accept it’
Eden Hazard, speaking in Spain about his tenure at Real Madrid, expressed his pride at being a merengue player but was also saddened by what has happened over those three years, stressing among other things that he has will do if the managers tell him to leave.
THE Eden Hazard spoke to MARCA reflecting on his poor run at Real Madrid over the past three years as he has been plagued by injuries.
The Belgium midfielder insisted that if the Merengues’ managers tell him in the summer that he has to leave the team (he has a contract until 2024), he will accept it. At the same time, he mentioned that becoming a Real Madrid player is his dream and that makes him happy while apologizing for it
Eden Hazard said in detail how long he will stay at Real: “It’s not possible in January because I have family and I like the city. But in the summer I’ll probably go. I have one year left on my contract and it’s the club’s decision.
When the club says to me “Eden, thank you for four years, but you have to go”, I have to accept that because it’s normal. But I want to play more, show more that I can play, that I’m a good player“.
On the grade he would give his tenure at Real: “phew Zero for the way I play because I don’t play, but ten for how I live with the team at the moment. I don’t play but being a Real Madrid player was my dream as a kid and after this year I have another season on my contract. I want to play for this club, in this shirt“.
Whether he had the option to leave the team: “No, no, nothing. I have no idea where all this came from“.
For the message he would give to Real’s friends: “sorry my friends I’m trying, but… sorry. I have one year left and I have to prove it, but it’s not easy. I don’t play, I want to play more. I’m really, really sorry about what happened“.
