They will restore 100% stadium abundance starting March 4th
The return to normal for Spanish sport is now a matter of time as the country’s health minister announces that from March 4th, occupancy rates will be back to 100% in all stadiums in the country.
The Spanish fans are a breath away from the pre-coronavirus era. The government announced that it has decided to lift all restrictions on the number of fans each sports facility can accommodate.
“Starting March 4, sporting events, whether outdoor or indoor, will be utilized to 100% with favorable epidemiological data.” announced the country’s Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, in a press conference on Thursday (February 17).
However, the minister made it clear that there is an obligation for everyone to wear a mask, but also not to eat, drink or smoke at specific sporting events.
It is recalled that, at the end of December, the Spanish authorities had reduced the occupancy of the stadiums to 75% outdoors and 50% indoors, given the Omicron mutation that was then emerging dangerously and spreading around the world. .
