Tempas: “Barcelona can’t conquer Holland”
La Liga president Javier Tempas has made it clear once again that Barcelona’s financial situation doesn’t allow for a takeover of Erling Halland.
Real may have fallen into the game of taking on the two – for many – top strikers, Erling Halland and Killian Ebape, but at the same time Barcelona are making plans for the next day, with the Norwegian star starring in their plans.
According to reports from Spain, Xavi Halland has been used as the Catalan club’s clear No. 1 goal to set up the new team. Nevertheless, LaLiga President Javier Tempas displeased the friends of “blaugrana” with his statement.
Speaking to Telemadrid, he clarified that Barcelona’s difficult financial situation doesn’t allow him to take over the Dortmund star and explained that if he had accepted the agreement with investment group CVC, he would have been able to pull off such a transfer.
“I’m sorry, I don’t like that Barcelona are in this situation. We like a competitive Barcelona. The reason why this situation happened is because of the salary costs.
Today, as it stands, they can’t have Holland. If they signed the contract with CVC, something like this could happen if some players left. “You still have months to work on it.” mentioned features.
