Benzema can take part in the final with Argentina, Real have given him permission
Karim Benzema will take part in the World Cup final between France and Argentina next Sunday (18/12), according to AS, after Real Madrid gave him permission to travel to Qatar to support his team-mates if he so desires.
A few weeks ago, tragedy struck Karim Benzema when the French forward was injured in national team training and was ruled out of the 2022 World Cup.
The Real Madrid star, who was not replaced on the ‘Tricolor’ list, returned to Madrid and took part in the ‘Merengues’ training sessions.
However, it looks like he will travel to Qatar again to join his country and team-mates in Sunday’s (18/12) final against Argentina.
A publication from AS reports that Real have allowed Benzema to return to the Middle Eastern country to watch the big game if they wish.
We remind you that if the ‘Blues’ manage to keep their scepter, the 34-year-old will receive a medal, since FIFA will award 26 medals and Deschamps has never replaced him.
