16-year-old Brazilian Edric is officially at Real Madrid
Real Madrid announced Edric’s signing on Thursday (15/12) and said they had reached an agreement with the family of the 16-year-old forward, who will join the club in July 2024 when that is announced.
Real and his family Edric have reached a final agreement on taking over the 16-year-old striker, as the Spanish club announced on Thursday (December 15).
The young Palmeira forward will join the Merengues in July 2024 when he will come of age as it is forbidden to transfer from country to country while he is underage.
In fact, according to Fabrizio Romano, his contract runs for three years (2027) with an option to extend it until 2030.
The Brazilian team has secured the sum of 35 million euros through this transfer, while they can receive another 25 million euros if certain targets are met. In addition, Real will pay 12 million euros in taxes.
Pending his move to Real, Edric will continue training at Palmeiras while traveling to Madrid to visit the team’s facilities in the coming days.
Edric has scored eight goals in 11 games for Palmeira’s first-team and the Merengues have been watching his fall since last January.
