Toni Kroos is under contract at Real Madrid until the end of the season and has until February to make his final decisions about his future.

Toni Kroos will be at Real Madrid for nine years by the end of the season, having won five Champions League titles among others, and his wish is to end his career in Madrid.

Although he’s only 32 (he turns 33 on January 4), he has two options in mind for his future. One extends at Real for a year and one retires at the end of the current season. Spanish newspaper MARCA reports in today’s article that the German midfielder’s final decision will be made by next February.

He doesn’t want to move down to a lower level of football and wants to leave at a high level like he did with the Germany national team, which he retired from when he was 31.

His main status with the merengues hasn’t changed despite the arrival of younger Kamavinga, Tswameni and Valverde. According to the same source, even the position he will take in the team at that point will be a factor that will determine his decisions.
