Barcelona are still unable to add Gavi and Araujo to their squad

Barcelona are still in a bad financial situation and that’s why they still can’t add Gavi and Ronald Araujo to their squad.
One of the brightest talents in his squad, the other his best defender. And yet Barcelona still can’t register him Gavi and the Ronald Araujo on its roster as it lacks the financial flexibility due to its unsustainable debt.
Marca investigated the case and calculated that despite the reduction in wage costs resulting from the transfer of Memphis Depay to Atlético and Gerard Pique’s withdrawal, the necessary budget space was not created to be able to register the two players.
Both play as Barcelona B players and are therefore not allowed to change shirt numbers, with the 18-year-old Spaniard being forced to play with 30 instead of his preferred 6.
Furthermore, the situation at Barcelona prevents Inaki Peña and Alejandro Balde’s contracts from being renewed.
According to the relevant articles of the Spanish League’s regulations, Barcelona must calculate the contracts of the players it will renew (or buy) in the New Year’s budget and, based on the level of its revenues, submit a budget for the next two seasons. Currently, the 2023-2024 season caps have been exceeded, meaning no new contracts or higher revenue contracts can be added, nor are there accurate estimates for next two years’ finances.
