Atletico fans hung a doll wearing a Vinicius shirt and a banner reading ‘Madrid hates Real’ on a bridge in Madrid, with the club condemning the incident and urging authorities to investigate the case.
A few hours before Real’s derby with Atlético in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey, some of the “Rojiblancos” fans wanted to send an ugly message to the communists Vinicius.
In particular, they hung a doll depicting Real’s Brazil striker on a bridge in Madrid, while there was also a banner that read: “Madrid hates Real Madrid”.
This fact prompted Atlético to issue a statement on the incident, condemning the incident and calling on the authorities to investigate and identify those responsible.
“We do not know who committed this heinous act, but their anonymity does not absolve them of responsibility. We want the authorities to clarify what happened.” says the Spanish team, among others.
