Negreira faxed Barcelona in 2019 that they would publicize their irregularities if their deal wasn’t honored
Spain’s El Mundo published a fax from Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira to former Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, telling him that if their agreement were not honored, he would make public irregularities he knew ‘firsthand’ . The former referee’s company received 1.4 million euros from the Catalans for the provision of services.
The news that Barcelona handed over 1.4 million euros to the company of the former referee and technical vice-president of referees of the Spanish Football Federation, Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, erupted like lightning.
Today’s report by Spanish ‘El Mundo’ reports that Enrique Negreira threatened the Catalans and Josep Maria Bartomeu by fax in 2019, saying if the two sides didn’t reach an agreement on their transaction then he would make it public either “Anomaly” he found firsthand in the group.
It should be noted that the ex-Spanish referee never publicized any irregularities of the Barcelona government of the time and did not perceive the “threat” he mentioned in his letter, which was exposed by El Mundo.
In detail the letter that Negreira sent to Josep Maria Bartomeu
I am sending you this letter after being aware of the club’s response to the inquiry you made through my law firm.
My surprise and disappointment was great. After all this time together, I find that a completely unjustified personal insult.
I have every intention of filing a complaint with the courts, which will certainly have negative consequences.
So far I have not taken these measures to avoid precisely these serious consequences, hoping to reach a proper settlement regarding my claim, as I do not believe that another scandal will favor the team, let alone Mr Rochelle ( ss ex-Barcelona board member) given the legal situation both he and Mr Contreras are facing, who is no better off than Mr Rosell given how the latter has rated or billed the club.
To this day, and considering the reciprocity of treatment I received from you, the other past Presidents and the team, I feel I owe respect and decency.
Unfortunately, however, sae’s current action against me, with the attendant insult and prejudice, absolves me of such self-imposed obligation and compels me to involve Mr. Rosell and Mr. Contreras in the legal proceedings which I shall commence, which I shall do defend my interests and rights that the group has not respected and trampled on with impunity.
Despite this, and despite my right to publicly share with the authorities everything I know and can prove, which fits perfectly with the scenario I have put myself in involving you and the past Presidents, I do not want the opportunity to do so miss out on getting a fair deal for both sides and not the injustice that the club wants to expose me to.
I have no animosity towards anyone at the club and I am unwilling to go public with all of the inappropriateness that I have known and experienced firsthand in relation to anyone at the club, but you will force me to if you Make your unthinking decision and honor the agreement that you will continue to count on my services until the end of the President’s term. Both you and Mr. Rosell, as Vice President and President and vice versa, have agreed, to say the least, with me on what you wish to disrupt with impunity.
Unfortunately, I cannot stand idly by in the face of such a proposal. My work and the services I have provided to you have been impeccable, neither CNA nor RFEF can and will not hold anything against me in this regard.
I request a private meeting between us, absolutely confidential, to settle this matter once and for all and for the good of all.
I’m waiting for you to call me urgently. Otherwise, I understand that you are not only forcing, but challenging me to do everything in my power to defend my interests.

Real Madrid have 20-year-old Robert Renan on their shortlist for central defense
Real Madrid have suffered a major blow to their central defense due to injuries and one of the things they have on their list ahead of January is the loan of 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan from Zenit.
After the serious injuries to David Alaba and Ender Militao, Real Madrid have entered the transfer market to sign a central defender.
One of the cases that the Merengues are considering, according to AS, is 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg. Madrid initially wants to bring him in with a loan and a purchase option for next summer.
The young footballer is exactly the right person to strengthen the Merengues as he is left-footed and can develop into a very good footballer. This particular formula would also satisfy Zenit, but there is a non-football problem.
Groups linked to the Russian state continue to face sanctions from the European Union (and the US) over the military invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, teams cannot receive an amount over 108,000 euros.
Zenit is owned by Gazprom, one of the most famous oil companies (in the world) controlled by the Russian state.

Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League because of FFP
According to the German newspaper “Die Welt”, Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League due to violations of Financial Fair Play. However, the Catalans are not aware of the specific risk.
A few hours after the legal recognition before the Court of Justice of the European Union of the European Super League, a project that Barcelona and Real Madrid have “operated” from the beginning until today, the Blaugrana are in adventure.
A publication by German newspaper Die Welt reports that the Catalans are at risk of being banned from the new Champions League (for up to three years) due to Financial Fair Play violations. Barcelona announced gigantic profits (a whopping 304 million euros), but according to the report, UEFA will audit the finances as the income must only come from “football activities”.
Barcelona reported on its balance sheet revenue from “Barca Studios”, the project that manages the team’s audiovisual material, such as the team’s official channel (Barca TV).
Sources in Barcelona management told Mundo Deportivo that they were unaware of the scenario in question.
