Barcelona will be in the dock along with two of their former presidents, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rochelle, in the Negreira case.

Allegations against Barcelona and two of its former presidents for funding referees from 2001 to 2018, specifically in the Negreira case, took official form.

Barcelona prosecutors, as expected, have indicted both the team and the former presidents of Barcelona (Sandro Rochelle, Josep Maria Bertomeu) and its executives (Oscar Grau, Albert Soler), but also Barcelona itself as a legal entity.

Negreira reportedly received nearly €7,000,000 from 2001 to July 2018 to take on an advisory role at Barcelona in arbitration, the club and referee claim.

The charges against Bartomeu are brought only by the presidents of the period in which the crimes are said to have been committed, since prior to 2010 the law on which the charges are based did not apply. There will also be criminal prosecution against some members of the administration from 2010, but not all, since there are statutes of limitations and age restrictions.
