Christensen has signed a five-year contract with Barcelona
According to Catalan Sport, Barcelona are close to finalizing the transfer of Andreas Christensen, who is expected to sign a five-year deal at the Blaugrana.
In a few months, Andreas Christensen will be sacked by Chelsea, giving him the opportunity to sign for whatever team he wants on the horizon in the summer. Barcelona seem to have seized the opportunity.
The 25-year-old Danish defender will pass the second round of medical checks on Monday and if all goes well, he will sign a contract with the Blaugrana, according to Sport. The player’s agendas will be in Barcelona until Thursday for details.
Barcelona appear to have received the player’s ‘yes’ last week and are expected to sign a five-year deal with the Catalans, with earnings of six million a season. This will be Xavi’s first signing for the next year.
Christensen has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2017. He has made 26 appearances in all competitions with the Blues this season, having scored two goals and shared an assist. The Danish defender was also in Bayern’s sights, but Barcelona made a better offer.
