Courtois: ‘It hurts me to go on eBay and see they’re selling shirts that I signed’
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has expressed his dissatisfaction that many fans are asking him to sign the shirts and later sell them on various online platforms to make money.
In the podcast, Thibaut Courtois referred to a gesture by Real fans that bothers him. The Belgian Madrid goalkeeper stressed that it pained him to see the shirts he signed being sold on relevant online platforms.
In fact, he spoke about exploitation and claimed that some people see it as a business to make money.
“You have to go to eBay and checkthere are people who take advantage of us, there are people who know that I often stop and give away shirts or gloves, take a picture, sign them and then put them up for sale.
“I have no problem signing, I think I’m good and I always try, but of course there are people who come every day with different jerseys and suddenly you see them for sale on the internet and it hurts.” first mentioned and went on to say:
“Why don’t we stop? Because we know that it will be sold later, but of course there are children and in children you do. Nor can you say no to someone you know will later sell them. You have to know when to stop and when not to.”
