Ancelotti: “We have to see Barcelona like a lion and not like a cat, we will play very aggressively”
Carlo Ancelotti has stressed that Real’s only goal at the Camp Nou on Sunday night (March 19, 22:00, Novasports Prime) is to win to close the gap at the top and made it clear that his players are tough and will play aggressively.
Real beat Barcelona 3-1 in the first round of La Liga’s Clasico but are now nine points adrift of the top and this fact has put them in the role of underdogs in the La Liga title race.
This practically means that only with a win on Sunday evening (19/03, 22:00, Novasports Prime, LIVE by Sportish) will he have high hopes of retaining the champion’s scepter, as Carlo Ancelotti made clear in his press conference on Saturday that his team will play aggressively to get the three points.
“On Sunday we must see Barcelona as lions not cats because if you think they are a cat they will beat you. We’re always scared and worried.” stressed the Italian coach of the European and world champions, adding:
“We’re going to play very aggressively. We only want to win to close the gap. If we don’t win, we’ll see what we do in the title fight. We have a plan to stop Barcelona.”
One group knows the other very well and nobody has any secrets. If he thinks Barcelona will have a party during the game between us, he’s wrong.”
He dripped honey for Kroos, Modric, Kamavinga and Tswameni
Ancelotti also announced that Karim Benzema is 100% fine and will be ready for the big derby while praising several of his players, saying among other things:
“Kroos and Modric are still the best, it surprises me that some people still doubt them. Kamavinga is fine too, as is Tswameni. They replaced a legend like Casemiro. Real have a very good future with them. “
Militao is the best in the world. He has a flaw, sometimes he’s not 100% focused and he doesn’t look that good either.”
Finally, when asked about his own future with the ‘Queen’, Ancelotti showed his special bond with the Madrid players by saying: “The club has to decide.
I would like to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of my life but it’s impossible. I want to continue here. If they want me for 3 months, I will enjoy it for 3 months. If they want me for another 3 years, I’ll enjoy it for another 3 years.”
