Bojan hangs up his shoes at the age of 32: “Grateful for what I experienced”
One of the greatest prodigies of the past, Bojan Krkic has decided to announce his retirement from football with a ceremony at Camp Nou.
Bojan Krkic was one of the greatest child prodigies of the past. Graduating from Masia in 2007, he caused a sensation and spent the next four years playing at Barcelona.
At the age of 32, the Spaniard decided to hang up his boots and end his career. A career in which he has gone through many great teams, but he has not achieved everything that was expected of him due to the anxiety attacks he experienced.
“It’s not easy to make decisions like that. I’ve been away from home for 12 years and I feel fulfilled in my job. I want to enjoy the next chapter of my life and be closer to my family.
It’s not about fitness. It’s a feeling, reality. I’m looking forward to doing other things than playing football. I am grateful for what I have experienced“, he explained in a ceremony in a Camp Nou room in the presence of Laporta.
In addition to Barcelona, Bojan played for Roma, Milan, Ajax, Stoke, Mainz, Alaves, Montreal, most recently he wore Vissel Kobe’s jersey.
