Benzema scored an unimaginable record in a Real Madrid jersey, surpassing Di Stefano and Raul
Karim Benzema celebrated a hat-trick in Real’s game against Valladolid and went down in Real Madrid history books, scoring an incredible record and surpassing the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano and Raul.
Karim Benzema scored three goals in six minutes and 30 seconds in the first half of Real’s game against Valladolid, celebrating the fastest hat-trick in La Liga merengues history since April 19, 1992, when Fernando Hiero had needed 6 minutes to score three goals in a 7-0 home win over Espanyol.
But it was another fact that can make the France international striker swell with pride. And that’s because he has scored 22 goals for Real this season, becoming the first player to score more than 20 goals for Real in 11 different seasons, with Alfredo Di Stefano and Raul having accomplished the same feat in 10 seasons.
