Barcelona have announced the agreement for the Spotify Camp Nou
Barcelona announced the major sponsorship partnership with Spotify, affecting both the kits and the name of their stadium, which will be transformed into Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona have announced a strategic partnership with Spotify, resulting in revenues of hundreds of millions of euros for two very important sponsorships.
The music streaming company will appear on the team jersey as the main sponsor instead of Rakuten starting next season and for four seasons for both men and women. In addition, it will be the main sponsor of the team’s coaching appearances for the next three seasons.
However, the sponsorship of the two sides does not stop there. For the first time in its history, Camp Nou will receive a sponsor and will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou.
The renaming will take place next season and will continue after Espai Barça’s renovation of the stadium.
The Swedish giants have agreed to give 280,000,000 euros for the entire sponsorship deal, money that is proving to be a savior for the club to get out of the financial slump. The ratification of the agreement is expected to take place on April 3rd at an extraordinary general meeting.
“We are very proud to announce this groundbreaking coalition with a world-renowned organization like Spotify. This partnership will allow us to further bring the club closer to its fans and make them feel like part of the Barcelona family through unique experiences, combining two activities like entertainment and football”said, among others, the president of “Blaugrana”, Juan Laporta.
