The team for Mallorca has only 11 players from the first team
The problems look like a mountain for Barcelona given the game against Mallorca (2/1, 22:00) with Xavi announcing the mission in which there are only 11 first-team players, two of whom are goalkeepers.
With regard to Sunday (January 2nd, 10:00 pm, Novasports Prime and LIVE by Sportish), Barcelona are away from the home game against Mallorca for the 19th injury or coronavirus, with Xavi making public his frustration that the organizing authority has not decided to postpone the game.
In fact, just a few hours after he said, the true dimensions of the Catalans’ problem became clear when their coach announced their commitment to the trip to the Balearic Islands, where only 11 of the 21 players are first-team and both are goalkeepers.
They are Ter Stegen, Neto (the two goalkeepers), Pique, Araujo, Putz, Frankie de Jong, Luke de Jong, Mingetha, Garcia, Umtiti and Langley, the latter two of which come from a coronavirus but are negative in the last PCR and are included in the broadcast at the last minute.
It should be noted that the game is very important for “Barça” as it is in 7th place, but it is the game of the top four that leads to the new Champions League, with the gap to the 4th point.
