Real: There is a risk of losing the match against Getafe due to a substitution error on paper
Real are in danger of losing the game against Getafe due to an alleged 84th-minute substitution on paper.
Real beat Getafe 1-0 in La Liga last Saturday, but it’s possible that score could be changed at the sports referee’s offices and the three points could end up in one with the visitors due to a blunder in the ‘meringues’.
Getafe complained that Eduardo Camavinga came on in the 84th minute of added time, while Carlo Ancelotti had sent off Marco Asensio and Alvaro Ontriotola.
The French defender was injured at this point and was eventually replaced by the Spanish striker.
However, according to Getafe’s complaint to the federation, Ontriothola had entered the field and the substitution should have ended with the 1-0 goalscorer from the game. Instead, Asensio returned and it was Kamavinga who left the field.
The association informed Real and gave them three days to apologize.
According to the regulations, it is assumed “A substitution is complete when the player enters the field of play.” If the referee finally decides in Getafe’s favour, the game will be decided 3-0 on paper and Real will lose three points, which are not decisive for their place in La Liga, where they are guaranteed a place in the top four will play .
