La Liga
Valencia 1-0 Real: Remaining victory for the Bats
Valencia clinched an important win in their bid to remain in La Liga with a 1-0 win over Real and the Merengues are back in contention for second place.
Valencia got a great victory 1:0 over Real at “Mestaja” and after the 35th matchday made a decisive step to stay in La Liga.
The “Bats” were absolutely motivated to score, while the “Meringues” weren’t, which was evident in the first few minutes of the game, even though Real were in the starting XI. It was Valencia who scored through Diego Lopez and then defended to the end.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side had suffered a humiliating elimination in the Champions League semi-finals at Manchester City and tried to hit back, but their chances were converted by the home side’s defense and they managed to hold the lead at 1-0.
During the delays the tension was too great and in one fight Vinicius was sent off for punching an opponent in the face.
