Wave of Brazilian teams’ support for Vinicius: “It’s not enough not to be racist, you have to be anti-racist”

Brazil’s sides have expressed their support for Vinicius on social media after he was racially abused by Valencia fans.

Vinicius Junior has been the subject of racist attacks again this season, this time from Valencia fans.

The Brazilian international’s posts were followed by a wave of support and sympathy from all his country’s teams, who posted on social media for the umpteenth time condemning the racist attack on the Real Madrid striker.

“Football takes a backseat when something terrible like this happens. The racism people saw was shocking and heartbreaking, and it wasn’t the first time we’ve seen something like this.” Nothing has been done to stop it. Racism is a crime and should be treated as such. Vinicius, we are with you” wrote Flamengo.

“We could first say that we are sad to hear of yet another racist attack against Vinicius, but the feeling is not sadness, it’s revolution.”

When everyone is marching together for equality and respect, it is unacceptable that those involved continue to engage in inhuman acts. Our solidarity with the athlete and the other victims of this atrocity. It’s not enough not to be racist. “You have to be anti-racist” was the message from Sao Paulo.

“We judge the cowardly acts of racism committed by Valencia fans against the sportsman Vinicius in the 21/5 match against Real.

It’s a shame that La Liga and its sponsors don’t take strict and definitive action against this situation that’s repeating itself in the stadiums of Spain. The rooster is black and white.” wrote Atlético.

Santos condemns all the racist attacks received by Vinicius, which have already existed at different points in his career and which were repeated in the match between Valencia and Real. Racism is a crime and must not only be fought but also severely punished!” Santos noted in her post.

Abel Ferreiras Palmeiras also took a stand and wrote: We express our solidarity with Real Madrid striker Vinicius, who has been the victim of unacceptable racial abuse during Spanish league matches.

We cannot normalize prejudice. May swift and strict measures be taken to keep the passion for football alive and serve as a role model for society at large.”

“THE Fluminense helps Vinicius, who was again the victim of racist and degrading attacks. Concrete action against countless instances of racial discrimination is urgently needed. It’s time to take action against those who attack him in different areas every day. Racism is a crime. Vinicius, you have our full support.”

“Racism is a crime and it kills

In our desperation and rebellion, we were hit by another racist attack against Vinicius in Spain at the stadium. It is unacceptable that countless people, who are unaware of or supported by the authorities, continue to commit unpleasant and discriminatory acts as a matter of course. What boldness is that?

If circumvention is not an option, let the victims of this terrible and inhumane evil that continues to torment us be investigated.

We wish the athlete all the strength and wisdom in the world as we advance in the fight against injustice. Let’s continue from here, Vinicius!”

The event also took on political dimensions in the country, with the Minister for Racial Equality making the following comments: We will inform the Spanish and La Liga authorities.

The Brazilian government will not tolerate racism. We will work to ensure that every black athlete in Brazil can exercise their right to work without suffering violence.”

Real Madrid have 20-year-old Robert Renan on their shortlist for central defense

Real Madrid have suffered a major blow to their central defense due to injuries and one of the things they have on their list ahead of January is the loan of 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan from Zenit.

After the serious injuries to David Alaba and Ender Militao, Real Madrid have entered the transfer market to sign a central defender.

One of the cases that the Merengues are considering, according to AS, is 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg. Madrid initially wants to bring him in with a loan and a purchase option for next summer.

The young footballer is exactly the right person to strengthen the Merengues as he is left-footed and can develop into a very good footballer. This particular formula would also satisfy Zenit, but there is a non-football problem.

Groups linked to the Russian state continue to face sanctions from the European Union (and the US) over the military invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, teams cannot receive an amount over 108,000 euros.

Zenit is owned by Gazprom, one of the most famous oil companies (in the world) controlled by the Russian state.

Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League because of FFP

According to the German newspaper “Die Welt”, Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League due to violations of Financial Fair Play. However, the Catalans are not aware of the specific risk.

A few hours after the legal recognition before the Court of Justice of the European Union of the European Super League, a project that Barcelona and Real Madrid have “operated” from the beginning until today, the Blaugrana are in adventure.

A publication by German newspaper Die Welt reports that the Catalans are at risk of being banned from the new Champions League (for up to three years) due to Financial Fair Play violations. Barcelona announced gigantic profits (a whopping 304 million euros), but according to the report, UEFA will audit the finances as the income must only come from “football activities”.

Barcelona reported on its balance sheet revenue from “Barca Studios”, the project that manages the team’s audiovisual material, such as the team’s official channel (Barca TV).

Sources in Barcelona management told Mundo Deportivo that they were unaware of the scenario in question.
