De Cerbi praises Guardiola: “I became a coach because of him, I loved the Barcelona he built.”
Roberto de Cerbi led Brighton to the Europa League and idolized Pep Guardiola after the 1-1 draw with Manchester City, stressing he was the reason he chose coaching.
Brighton clinched the long-awaited point against Manchester City on Wednesday (May 24) and secured their ticket for the new season’s Europa League with a 1-1 draw.
Roberto de Cerbi was mentioned in his post-match statements pep Guardiola, whom he adored. The Italy manager revealed that Guardiola inspired and motivated him to choose coaching.
“I became a coach because of Guardiola because I loved his Barcelona.” I studied him a lot, I didn’t copy him, but I learned things when I started coaching. Pep is still number one.
