Pedri: ‘I remember who rejected me at Real, when I see him I will tell him I’m having a good time at Barcelona’
Just 24 hours after Barcelona’s triumph at the Bernabeu, Pedri added new salt to the wounds of Real’s friends, revealing the Meringues rejected him when he was younger, telling him he wasn’t at the level he wanted.
Barcelona have been living in a renaissance era with Xavi at the helm for 4.5 months, with the culmination of his outstanding work at the Blaugrana coming last Sunday as he led his side to an historic 4-0 win over Real on La 29 league led match.
Pedri was fun again in this match and let Real’s friends dedicate melancholy words in his honor when he came a few hours after the derby to “ignite fire” for the Madrilenians.
He did so – unintentionally – through an interview with Marca, in which he admitted he was tested by the Madrilenians as a child but rejected, even telling him he didn’t have the necessary qualifications for that level.
“I went to Real and couldn’t train for the first few days because there was snow on the pitch. I trained for three days in total. At some point I was told that I wasn’t at the level they were looking for there.” and i left
Being rejected from somewhere isn’t pleasant, but it motivates you and makes you think that if they don’t want you now, you’ll work so hard for something else to come in the future.
“I remember who rejected me, when I see him I will tell him that I enjoy being in Barcelona now” stressed the 18-year-old Spanish midfielder, who when asked what he did with his first football earnings, said:
“My money is my parents’ money. We are a family. The first thing I bought was a Play Station 5. Now I want to buy a new house for my parents or renovate what we have.”
In the same interview, Pedri also spoke about:
For the match against Galatasaray in Turkey: “The noise from the fans was incredible, it was bad for our ears. The goal I scored is by far the best of my career.”
For the intense celebrations after 0-4: “I think the Real players would celebrate accordingly. When you beat your big opponent 4-0, you get a lot of joy and that’s why you celebrate like that.”
For his favorite number: “It’s the number 8 that Iniesta had, but in the Spanish national team that number belongs to Koke and I respect it. I had two options for other numbers and I chose number 10. It’s been an honor for me to wear it ever since wear.” The national team wore it “Players like Fabregas. The best to wear this number is Messi.”
For his ideal elf: “Ter Stegen, Alves, Pique, Eric Garcia, Alba, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.”

Real Madrid have 20-year-old Robert Renan on their shortlist for central defense
Real Madrid have suffered a major blow to their central defense due to injuries and one of the things they have on their list ahead of January is the loan of 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan from Zenit.
After the serious injuries to David Alaba and Ender Militao, Real Madrid have entered the transfer market to sign a central defender.
One of the cases that the Merengues are considering, according to AS, is 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg. Madrid initially wants to bring him in with a loan and a purchase option for next summer.
The young footballer is exactly the right person to strengthen the Merengues as he is left-footed and can develop into a very good footballer. This particular formula would also satisfy Zenit, but there is a non-football problem.
Groups linked to the Russian state continue to face sanctions from the European Union (and the US) over the military invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, teams cannot receive an amount over 108,000 euros.
Zenit is owned by Gazprom, one of the most famous oil companies (in the world) controlled by the Russian state.

Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League because of FFP
According to the German newspaper “Die Welt”, Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League due to violations of Financial Fair Play. However, the Catalans are not aware of the specific risk.
A few hours after the legal recognition before the Court of Justice of the European Union of the European Super League, a project that Barcelona and Real Madrid have “operated” from the beginning until today, the Blaugrana are in adventure.
A publication by German newspaper Die Welt reports that the Catalans are at risk of being banned from the new Champions League (for up to three years) due to Financial Fair Play violations. Barcelona announced gigantic profits (a whopping 304 million euros), but according to the report, UEFA will audit the finances as the income must only come from “football activities”.
Barcelona reported on its balance sheet revenue from “Barca Studios”, the project that manages the team’s audiovisual material, such as the team’s official channel (Barca TV).
Sources in Barcelona management told Mundo Deportivo that they were unaware of the scenario in question.
