Real withdrew for Readinger because they were charging 200,000 euros per week
Real withdrew from Antonio Riediger’s claim, as the financial demands of the German, who demanded 200,000 euros per week, were considered excessive by the Madrid club, according to the Spanish MARCA.
Antonio Riediger is increasingly moving away from London as he has not yet reached an agreement with Chelsea on the extension of his contract, which will expire next summer.
The reason for the failure of the negotiations between the two sides was the financial part, as the German defender was not satisfied with the contract offered by the “Blues” with around 8 million euros per year.
Indeed, the possibility of the 28-year-old continuing his career in Spain seemed great until recently as the country’s media wanted him to reach a deal with Real Madrid. According to MARCA, however, Riediger’s high standards forced the “meringue” to withdraw from his claim.
Specifically, the German international demanded, according to the report, 200,000 euros per week, a sum that Real does not want to spend.
