Casemiro for Bale: ‘When you congratulate a player, you congratulate the club’s history’
Gareth Bale’s disapproving expression at Real – Getafe irked Kazemiro, with the Brazilian midfielder taking a firm stand in favor of his team-mate during a meringue press conference.
On the eve of the rematch with Chelsea (3-1 in favor of Real in the first game with Karim Benzema’s hat-trick) for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Carlo Ancelotti gave a press conference to the journalists, however, who gave the strongest attack was not the – usually frugal – Italian coaches, but the player standing next to him, representing the Madrid players.
The reason for Kazemiro that the Brazilian midfielder disagreed vertically and horizontally with the Real fans who disapproved of Gareth Bale at the moment of his entering the field in the winning (2-0) league game against Getafe last Saturday (change in 74′ instead of Benzema) and to take his anger out with his statements.
“When they boo one player, it’s like booing the whole team. I can’t agree with what happened. I didn’t like it because Bale is a historic player who has scored a lot of important goals with Real .”
When such a footballer is disapproved, it is as if the history of this club is being disapproved at that moment.
“I hope that the people who come to the stadium for Tuesday’s game against Chelsea will help us because we need them.” emphasized the 30-year-old national player with regard to the “hot” Benzema:
“Only the goals change, Benzema hasn’t changed, we see him every day. It’s the history of this club. It’s an honor to have him by our side. “He’s the most important player we have at the moment.”
