Atletico – Espanyol 2-1: Redemption with a penalty in the 10th minute of delay
Atletico saved the “three points” against Espanyol thanks to a penalty in the 10th minute of delay and stay on course for the next Champions League.
Tempers were not clear after Manchester City’s episodic exclusion from the Champions League quarter-finals and Atletico almost paid for it Espanol for the 32nd game of the league. Didak Villa shook the area, the referee didn’t see it but Atletico’s protests suspected him of doing something wrong. The VAR informed him and after seeing the phase in the video assigned the end of the sentences. Carrasco took over the execution and scored in the 100th minute to make it 2-1.
