“Sport” delighted Barcelona fans with a crazy Messi comeback scenario
Lionel Messi is still a burning wish of Joan Laporta and according to Catalan Sport, a possible absence from Inter Miami in the MLS playoffs would open the door for his return to Camp Nou on loan.
Barcelona waged a gigantic battle to convince Lionel Messi to return “home” with the Paris jersey after two years in Paris, but he failed to do so as his enormous financial problems slowed down all his efforts and Pulga eventually turned to the other changed side of the Atlantic.
The team that is now happy with him and enjoying his services is David Beckham’s Inter Miami, but that doesn’t mean the door to Europe and especially the Blaugrana is permanently closed for the Argentine World Cup winner.
At least this is supported by “Sport”, which “drives the team’s friends crazy” with its publication today (October 6th) and argues that there is a possibility of acquiring Messi in the winter transfer period in the form of a loan.
A necessary prerequisite for the above scenario to take shape is that Inter Miami stays out of the MLS playoffs, which is currently the most likely scenario as the Catalan media believe that the Catalans could try to request a loan from the US club in January 2024
