Ancelotti: “If I speak my mind, I will be banned for many games”
Carlo Ancelotti said the referee “did everything right” but explained that he was being ironic because if he said what he thought or believed he would be banned for several games.
Sevilla and Real Madrid failed to win after a great game at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. On matchday 10 of La Liga, the two teams drew 1-1 in a game full of chances, excitement and spectacle.
When Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the refereeing decisions, he claimed that the referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengocea “He did everything well, he played a good game.” and that “Everything went well. It stopped the counterattack for a player’s health.”
He then told the Real channel that he was being ironic and explained why he did it: “Irony is a possibility because if I speak my mind I will be punished for many games. To avoid this, I use irony.
We started well, but we didn’t take our chances and Sevilla stepped up and were a little better. It was a very competitive game with many duels.
For me Rodrigo was one of the best today, if not the best. He had clear chances, he had more shots than others, he tried everything. He didn’t score a goal, okay, but what’s important is that he continues to play well.” said the Italian technician.
