Marc Guillaume left Xavi white-faced on his Barcelona debut after scoring the winning goal against Athletic and Joao Cancelo made a sensational request for his teammate late in the game.
Xavi’s inspiration to first use 17-year-old Marc Guillo and then substitute him to chase Barcelona’s winner against Athletic proved “golden” as the young Spanish striker scored seconds after coming on to secure the win 1:0 opposite Sporty for the 10th matchday of La Liga.
The goal gave the young footballer incredible joy and moved his entire family. His mother burst into tears in the stands, but there was another scene that impressed fans.
Joao Cancelo starred in this film. The Portuguese international, who is on loan at Barcelona from Manchester City, joined in the Blaugrana players’ exuberant celebrations and demanded a reward from his teammate.
