Cadiz 2-2 Sevilla: Third draw in a row thanks to Rakitic’s goal

THE Cadiz led by two goals, but in the end Sevilla managed to respond and earn an away draw 2-2 in the Andalusian derby on matchday 11 of La Liga.

The hosts took the lead in the 8th minute through Chris Ramos and twenty minutes later Darwin Matsis doubled their tally against the run of play. The visitors had the upper hand and missed several chances, with Lucas Ocampos reducing the score before the end of the first half.

In the 2nd minute Sevilla continued to have the ball at their feet and in the 60th minute Ivan Rakitić equalized with an incredible volley from the penalty area to make it 2-2. Diego Alonso’s men then looked for a turnaround but were unable to do so, remaining in the draw for a third straight league game and without a win in five consecutive games in all competitions.
