Papastathopoulos’ presentation to Betis: “I will do more than you expect”
Sokratis Papastathopoulos was officially introduced to Betis on Monday (October 30) and promised to live up to the team’s expectations.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos has found the next stage of his career at Betis and has signed a contract with the Andalusians until the end of the season.
On Monday (October 30th), the Spanish team presented the former Olympiacos defender, who will wear the number 19 jersey.
During his presentation, the 35-year-old Greek said: “I’m really happy to be here and to be able to help the team, especially after Bartra’s injury. I’m here to help the team with my experience and give them quality in defense. This is very important because in the last few weeks we have spoken a lot with the coach and he has convinced me how important it is to be here to help the team. I need some time to adjust.
Regarding his physical condition, he explained: “I work with my personal trainer every day, it’s not the same as team training, I need some time. I will talk to the coach and if we decide that I am ready for my debut, you can be sure that he will make it 100%.” and continued:
“La Liga is one of the best leagues in the world with very good teams. Yes, that was an important factor in my decision. This is also how I finish all the major European leagues, it was a kind of gift that I can come here and play for Betis.”
