New problem in Barcelona, Garcia out of action for five weeks
Xavi and Barcelona will be deprived of Eric Garcίαa’s services for around five weeks after the 21-year-old Spanish defender injured his thigh in the Granada game, keeping him in the “pit” for more than a month.
After all, they don’t have the problems for Barcelona. In addition to the coronavirus cases, Xavi is struggling with injuries, with Eric Garcίαa being the second player to be injured after Ronald Araούjo.
According to the Catalan club, the Spanish defender was replaced in the 56th minute of the game against Granada (1-1) after injuring his right thigh. Therefore, the “blaugrana” coach cannot count on the 21-year-old’s services for around five weeks.
The return of Garcίαa is expected in mid-February, which means that he will play in the Supercup semi-finals against Real (12/1), the game against Bilbao (13/1) in the round of 16 for the Copa del Rey, but also from the La Liga – Playing against Alaves (23/1), Atletico (6/2), Espanyol (13/2).
