Marthelino graduated from Villarreal
Marthelino is in Spain to complete his contract with Villarreal. El Chiringuito’s camera films him on his way to the training center of rival Panathinaikos on Monday (November 13th).
Marthelino is just a breath away from taking over Villarreal. The former Marseille coach will arrive at the training center of Europa League rivals Panathinaikos on Monday (11/13) to sign his new contract, as reported by Camera by El Chiringuito.
Marthelino, who left the Marseille bench last September and whose term only lasted a few months, will, by all accounts, be Pacetta’s successor paid dearly for his failure to improve the team’s position LaLigawhich is currently in 14th place with 12 points (three wins, three draws, seven defeats).
The 58-year-old Spanish coach took charge of the team last June, replacing Igor Tudor, but Marseille’s start to the season was not ideal.
The exclusion of Panathinaikos from the Champions League qualification as well as the two wins in the first five games of the French championship put Marthelinos in a difficult position.
