Simeone: “It’s not enough that we’re third in the league, we want to cause more disruption”
Diego Simeone stressed in an interview that Atlético want more than third place in La Liga, while making it clear that winning the Champions League is not psychosis for him.
He has already been on the bench at Atlético for 12 years and is aiming to go beyond 15, having signed a contract extension until 2027. This fact fills Diego Simeone with ambition.
He made this clear in an interview he gave to the Spanish website “El Larguero”, with Cholo emphasizing that he has the energy needed to continue in the Rojiblancos and set the bar high within Spanish borders.
“I have been at the club for many years and feel motivated to continue. There is a blueprint that we need to build on.”
