Real are looking for Icardi to replace Vinicius
Vinicius is injured and will be out until February. Real are checking the market and have Mauro Icardi on their shortlist.
Mauro Icardi is in top form. The 30-year-old Argentine striker has scored 15 goals in 20 games for Galatasaray in all competitions this year.
In recent hours his name has been linked to Real Madrid. Ole’s hometown website reports that the Merengues are investigating his situation ahead of the winter season.
Vinicius Junior is injured and will be sidelined until at least February, so Real are looking for his replacement. So Icardi’s name was put on the table.
The 30-year-old striker has a contract with Galata until the summer of 2026, and the deal includes a €15 million clause.
