Edric gave Palmeiras the title before moving to Real and broke Neymar’s record

New Brazilian prodigy Edric was Palmeira’s most important player in the final stages of the season, preparing for a move to Real Madrid and sitting between Neymar and Ronaldo Nazario.

In the early hours of Thursday (July 12), Palmeiras are Brazilian champions for the twelfth time, with Abel Ferreira’s side benefiting from the biggest defeat in football history that will see Botafogo’s name written all over it.

With the draw against Cruzeiro that is Palmeiras was crowned Brasileirao winner for the second year in a row. The 17-year-old striker Edric scored against Cruzeiro, secured the title and was the most important player at the end of the year.


The young striker with six goals in the last eight gamesturned the ball over to his club and ended the season with 11 goals in 31 appearances in the Brazilian league.

This success moves him into second place among minor goalscorers and at the same time surpasses Neymar’s record of ten goals in the 2008/09 season.

At the helm is one of the best strikers the Seleção has produced and he is none other than the legendary Ronaldo Nazario De Lima. The Brazilian star managed to give a tip before his move to the Netherlands on behalf of Eindhoven 12 goals in one season the opposing networks in the Latin American country.

Edric is therefore preparing well before he moves to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 and celebrates his 180th birthday on July 21st. He collects titles, experience and stars at the highest level of Brazilian football.
