Every year, Betis fans commit a small act of love by throwing thousands of stuffed animals onto their stadium’s pitch with the aim of giving them to children of needy families. Every Christmas, the Spanish Club shows its compassion for the daily difficulties faced by the less privileged social groups and invites us to support similar efforts.

At a time when football stadiums in Greece are closed for two months due to a government decision as a measure to combat fan violence, Real Betis has shown its social face – for another year. Thousands of cuddly toys found a new home in the arms of children from needy families.

In particular, the Spanish club revived itself for La Liga with the draw (1-1) against Real Madrid Christmas custom which started at the initiative of her fans.

That’s why the Verdiblancos have thrown thousands of stuffed animals onto the pitch during half-time in the last home games of every calendar year since 2018. Their purpose is for the Betis charitable foundation to collect and distribute them, mainly to children of needy families.

At the same time, the club management also works with the Spanish Committee for Refugee Aid. Last year (2022) they managed to get there in the game against Athletic Bilbao on December 30th 14,000 stuffed animalsa number that was exceeded this year with Vice PresidentSilence of the players of the Spanish team to distribute them themselves.

Behind the charity of their followers Betis hides her desire”So that no child is left without a Christmas present during the holidays” and everyone’s wish is appropriate efforts to fully embrace the sports community.
