Barcelona want to close Etceveri from now on
Barcelona are in talks with Claudio Etcheverry’s side to sign Argentine football’s new great talent.
According to reports from Argentina, Barcelona have made a strong offer to sign Claudio Etcheverry from River Plate.
The 17-year-old Argentine turned heads with his outstanding performances for Argentina at the recent U17 World Cup, with many teams putting his name in the mix.
However, Barcelona appear to have opened a line of communication with the player’s team and are also reportedly willing to pay River.
In fact, the Catalans have no problem paying an amount above the €25 million provided for in the player clause to secure Etceveri’s signature.
Barcelona’s intention is to complete the transfer now and sign the player next summer. We remind you that Etcheverry has a contract with River until December 2024.
