Seville – Thelta 2: 2: The Andalusians failed to bring the ups and downs
Thelta led by two goals, while Sevilla tried to cause a big upset in the second half but stayed 2-2 and failed to win for the third straight game.
Sevilla looked for a win that would put them a point away from champions Real but eventually got the point of the tie 2-2 opposite thelta in “Ramon Sanchez Pithuan” and should be happy with him as he himself lost by two goals.
The Andalusians paid for some childish mistakes in defense which the cynical visitors exploited towards the end of the 1st half with Franco Servi and Iago Aspas.
Julen Lopetegui made three substitutions at the break, bringing on Ivan Romero, Oliver Torres and Alejandro Gomez and was justified. The hosts kept the upper hand in the game, but this time they took risks and scored goals with Gomez and Romero. The game stayed in Thelta’s half-court, but the surprise third goal didn’t materialize and Sevilla went without a win for the third game in a row in all competitions.
