Barcelona want surgery for Fati but the 19-year-old doesn’t agree
Barcelona want to have another operation on Anso Fati, who injured his left bicep in the Copa del Rey game with Athletic, but the 19-year-old is negative, according to MARCA.
Anso Fati returned this season after a serious injury while he lost most of last year due to knee problems. To be more precise, the 19-year-old returned to work at the end of September after 10 months after overcoming the serious problem and relapse.
Most recently, the Spanish striker was injured again in the 96th minute of Barcelona’s cup game against Bilbao and left the pitch with tears in his eyes.
In fact, this is the same injury he suffered against Thelta last November, while the team stated in their briefing that it would be decided in the coming days what treatment the player would follow. Catalan media reported a two-month absence.
According to MARCA, the Catalan club would like Fati to go through the operating room door one more time, something he disagrees with as if undergoing surgery the recovery period can be longer than two months.
According to the report, a meeting was held on Saturday (23/01) at the Barcelona training center where Fati and his family met with the club’s doctors and coaches to discuss the pros and cons of an operation.
However, no final decision has been made with the Catalans believing that require an operation, expect a final appointment on Monday 24th January.
