Barcelona send results of Deloitte probe against previous government
Barcelona’s board of directors announced today (01/02) that it has handed over the results of the Deloitte inquiry to the previous government to investigate possible financial crimes.
Juan Laporta and the other members of the Barcelona administration held a press conference in which they referred to the results of the financial investigation conducted by the accounting firm “Deloitte” and the agency Kroll into the Delloite investigation.
The investigation revealed that Bartomeu’s management was left with debts of around €1.1bn, annual losses of €481m and a salary 40 per cent higher than the average for Europe’s top sides.
The current leaders of Barcelona explain in their announcement, but also in the press conference, that they are making available the findings of the Barcelona Public Prosecutor, but also to the other judicial authorities, to reveal possible crimes and violations of the financial order.
