Monaco won the derby 2-0 against Lyon and returned to the Champions League by overtaking the ‘Gon’ in Ligue 1.

Monaco and Lyon were a point off the bar in their game in ‘Louis De’ in the 23rd game of Ligue 1 and now they are two points away after the Monegasque achieved victory 2-0 and overtook in 7th place.

The game was strange as the “Gons” were in control but they risked conceding many goals. Their protagonist was Anthony Lopez, who missed several of the hosts’ opportunities, but not those of Jean Lucas in 2′ and Wissam Ben Genter (who provided the assist in the first goal) in 27′.

In the second half the picture remained the same. The ball was in the feet of Peter Bos’ players, but without Bruno Guimaraes they couldn’t have advanced it properly. The Monegasques tried to hit the opponent, but this time they were not so accurate and limited themselves to the goals of the 1st part.
