Bordeaux 1-1 Monaco: The Tails took a point from 10 opponents
Orelien Chuameni’s red card set the stage for a 1-1 draw between Bordeaux and Monaco that neither of them benefited from his Ligue 1 goals.
THE Bordeaux pulled 1-1 from Monaco to “Matmut Atlantic” about David Gion’s debut on their bench. Orelien Tsuameni’s 34th-minute dismissal and second yellow card proved decisive in the outcome of a game that left both sides bitter.
The “Girondins” started the game from the last Ligue 1 position after St. Etienne’s draw with Strasbourg, but found a goal with Remy Uden in the 22nd minute. Tsuameni’s dismissal left a glimmer of hope for their second win in seven league games, but the difference in quality between the two sides was evident.
Despite fewer players, Philip Cleman’s side had chances and finally equalized in the 67th minute thanks to a player from the home team. Marcelo scored his second own goal of the season and made it 1-1.
