Leonardo for Ebape: ‘It only takes a few minutes to agree on the money’
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo, who told Equipe it would only take a few minutes for the two sides to agree on the financial part, says Killian Ebape’s contract extension is a simple matter.
Time flies, the season draws to a close and Paris Saint-Germain are doing everything they can to keep their great “weapon” in their quiver, Killian Ebape. The team’s sporting director Leonardo was even quite optimistic about the player’s whereabouts.
The French star doesn’t seem to have made up his mind about his future yet and all options remain open. On the one hand, the Parisians are not laying down their arms, on the other hand, Real has been demanding him since last summer.
Although a move to Madrid next summer was of course initially considered, Paris still seems to be back in the ‘game’.
According to a report by Le Parisien, she is ready to present a two-year extension proposal and give the 23-year-old €200m, while at the same time the club’s people seem increasingly confident about the deal. Leonardo, in particular, who spoke to Equipe, expressed optimism, stressing that there are many chances that Ebape will stay.
“Killian is so valuable that money is secondary. I think it will take a few minutes to agree on the financial part. We have a chance to continue in Paris. If he doesn’t sign with anyone, we’ll try everything. We will do our best to get it.
I don’t think he will decide based on the game against Real. What Qatar have done in the last decade is place Paris among the big clubs.
Ebape always wants to stay longer. It’s a matter of emotions. We are not a club that sells. I think Killian thinks things right. Eis currently the best player in the world.
Messi has always been at this level and will continue to be, but it’s normal for people to come and slowly change things. We judge neither the one nor the other. “One is 23 years old, the other 34. In any case, there is a lot of respect between them.” stressed in the case of Ebape, while referring to the takeover of Ramos, he said:
“He has only played five games so far. Unfortunately, it didn’t go the way we expected. It’s difficult for him and the others my mistakes when I do”.
