Equipe have revealed the monthly salaries of Ligue 1 players, reconfirming that Paris is in a league of its own financially.
The champions have 18 of the top 20 contracts and 21 of the top 30, with Neymar topping the list. The Brazilian forward is paid €4,083,000 gross per month, his team-mate Lionel Messi remains in second place with €3,375,000 but the Argentine has a staggered contract and plenty of money to sign bonuses. Killian Ebape is a long way behind with 2,220,000 a month, but also a chance to climb to the top of the list if he accepts Paris’ renewal offer, which nets him a total bonus of 200,000,000.
The only top 20 players not belonging to Paris are teammates in Monaco. Wissam Ben Genter receives €650,000 a month and is 15th with Ander Herrera, while Cesc Fabregas is 18th with €600,000.
The remaining salaries
PAOK’s opponents Marseille have their two main strikers, Cedric Bacabou and Arkadius Milik, as their highest-paid players at 400,000. Nearby and leader Dimitri Paget with 350,000. The same money goes to Lyon’s Jerome Boateng and Tangi Entombele, while Lille’s Renato Sanchez completes the category’s top-30 with 338,000.
Of the other clubs, Gaetan Lambord and Sehu Girasi, who lead Rennes to the Champions League, are paid 180,000, Nice’s Justin Klaifert is the team’s highest paid at 310,000 and Strasbourg’s Kevin Gameiro is paid 120,000 every month. Lance is led by Seko Fofana with 130,000 and Nantes with Moses Simon at 150,000.
