Paris: Ready to steal Hernandez from Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly opened talks with Lika Hernandez despite Bayern awaiting him to sign a contract extension.
Paris are in the process of getting the team ready for the new season with just two Ligue 1 games left and just one point left to celebrate the title.
The defensive area is one of those that need reinforcement as 37-year-old Sergio Ramos is not performing as expected, Presnel Kibebe suffers injuries and Danilo Pereira is used as a defensive midfielder in central defence.
The French approached Milan Skriniar last summer but failed to find a deal with Inter Milan and are said to have booked the Slovakia centre-back as a free agent for July. Next priority is another centre-back whose contract does not tie him to his current team.
THE Like Hernández is under contract with FC Bayern until the summer of 2024, but is already in talks about a contract extension. Sentiment seemed good but the player side reportedly demanded time, although Bayern believed they had found them and it was only a matter of time before the signings fell through.
Footmercato.net report that the 27-year-old France international has ‘frozen’ developments at Bayern as he is interested in the possibility of a move to Paris.
According to Bild, the club won’t reveal the reason behind the delay in talks but concerns are raised as the case is similar to the contract extension case of Thiago Alcantara who eventually joined Liverpool FC.
