Ligue 1
The 11th in Paris history: The ‘golden bible’ of Ligue 1
Paris have been crowned French champions for the eleventh time in their history and are now the sole leaders in Ligue 1 wins.
Paris Saint-Germain secured the Ligue 1 title with a game to go and remain alone at the top of the French league.
The Parisians shared the lead with Saint-Etienne, who – now in Ligue 2 – have not won a title since 1980-1981.
Of the 11 French championships, nine have been won since 2012-2013 and the club’s takeover by Qatar’s QSI, falling short of the title for just three seasons (Montpellier, Monaco and Lille have beaten the Paris of the Arabs).
