Monaco chose Hutter as their new coach
Monaco’s coach for the new season appears to be on hold after a report from Equipe has selected Andy Hutter to replace Philippe Clément on the bench.
After a disastrous end to a season that ended with just one point in Ligue 1’s last seven games, Philippe Clément was sidelined at Monaco and all indications are that his successor has been found.
That will be Andy Hutter, with Equipe revealing there may be no announcements yet, however the Monegasque have already reached an agreement with the 53-year-old Austrian to take over as their technical lead.
Essentially, Hutter’s selection is directly linked to the club’s new sporting director, Thiago Scouro, who knows Hutter well from their time together at Salzburg (2014-15) as the Austrian has also worked at Salzburg, Young Boys, Eintracht Frankfurt and Gladbach after which he was released in May 2022.
