Lille – Bordeaux 0-0: 10 players’ tails drew with the champion
Lille might even get closer to those places that lead to the Champions League but they stumbled at home against Ligue 1 bottom-placed Bordeaux.
THE small counted three wins and one draw in their last four Ligue 1 games, welcoming ‘Pierre Moreau’ to a team who saw newspaper reports midweek that it was revealed a player had stolen his team-mate’s shoes from the locker Room. And yet, the Bordeaux managed to draw 0-0 for the 30th game despite playing less than an hour with a player.
The champions had the upper hand from the start of the game against the tails and when Enok Quateng received two yellow cards in the 35th minute everything seemed easier. Burak Yilmaz and Jonathan Baba’s efforts didn’t end there, but when it did, Gaetan Poussin shouted “present.”
Time passed threateningly, Joslen Guvernek threw both Jonathan David and Hatem Ben Arfa into the fight, but the “Girondins” persevered. When they conceded goals in the delays, it was ruled out for offside and the 0-0 score gives them their first point after three straight defeats.
