Lyon – Angers 3: 2: last chance for Europe’s train used
Lyon made the easy difficult one, eventually beating Angers at home and staying alive 3-2 in the battle for the Ligue 1 European cards.
Lyon was far behind in the fight for European tickets and in the game aggravation was one last chance to keep in touch with the teams above in Ligue 1. In several instances it risked defeat but eventually achieved victory 3-2 for the 30th race and can still hope for an overtaking manoeuvre.
Musa Dembele scored once in each half for Gon, who relaxed and paid for it after the first 35 minutes of play. Matthias Laze cautioned with a crossbar and equalized in the 50th minute while Sofian Buffal responded immediately to Dembele’s second goal.
The game was moved to the away stadium, but a team performance ended in the 80th minute with Tete’s goal and Peter Bos’s players equalizing 3-2.
